Project Everlasting and new HK village house

Finding the secret to enduring love....what is it?  Well, my sister has crossed paths with a great man from the US who is devoted to spending a lot of time, energy, and money to go out and look into this ageless and priceless question. The bedrock ideas that this guy asserts are clearly inspired from a superior source of good. There is no doubt in my puny little mind about that.  Please look into his videos and "cool as" inspirations.  I can't wait to meet this guy some day to share with him and pick his heart, brain, and soul.

....and I also wanted to share pictures of our new house, which puts us very near the HK-China border now.  we are loving life and looking forward to the new possibilities this move has opened for us. Sl270921

NetTV is coming...Joost for now

Rose and Albrecht, of the now-popular video podcast Diggnation, deliver what this crowd can't get enough of: goofy banter and insider riffs on gaming, new software releases, and stupid hardware tricks, culled from the most popular tech stories of the day on Digg - and punctuated from time to time with their enthusiastic plugging of oddball products and sponsors.

...Just a year and a half out of the gate, Diggnation draws about 250,000 viewers a week and is among the most popular free video podcasts on Apple's iTunes service - alongside offerings from ABC, the BBC, and CNN (which, along with Business 2.0 and CNNMoney.com, is owned by Time Warner (Charts)).

...New forms of programming and distribution promise viewers an infinite menu of content, new advertising models are in the works to funnel all that new viewing behavior into streams of cash, and new search technologies are stepping up to, as Adelson says, "help you choose what you want to watch, when you want to watch it, and where you want to watch it."

...But it wasn't until January, after a year of skunk-works experimentation, that the pair unveiled their latest brainchild: Joost, a free service that uses peer-to-peer technology to convert typical low-grade Web video into a full-screen viewing experience that's eerily similar to the real thing.

...Ads on Joost will come in a variety of packages: They can appear as five-second preshow banners called "blipverts," as 10- to 30-second video "midrolls" that appear during a break in the show, and as opt-in icons that, when clicked, pull down a small marketing website inside the viewer's window.

iTunes videocast

well, finally figured out what was wrong with getting iTunes to pick up my video feed enclosures from Feedburner.  I just needed to include the actual video file's URL location within the blog entry, which I am storing on Revver's site, since they allow download.  So Revver takes the bandwidth burden, the storage burden, and they compensate their video-sharers when their audience clicks on the ads placed at the end of videos uploaded on their site.  no videos yet on my global finance page, but my video page and this main page have nearly all their videos available in the iTunes store in the podcast section.  You can find a link in the sidebar on both pages to subscribe to my video updates via iTunes!!

internet browsing accountability

Who is Covenant Eyes?

The Covenant Eyes program was established to change people's lives. They want to make available to everyone the ability to foster self-control, self-discipline, integrity, and personal accountability when using the Internet. Job 31:1 states, "I have made a covenant with my eyes." CE's purpose is to provide a tool enabling Internet users to maintain that covenant, regardless of whether their temptation is to pornography, gambling, or simply time spent on the Internet. The goal is to honor God, our families, and our relationships in the way that we use the Internet by establishing accountability with others. Covenant Eyes is the tool that accomplishes this goal.

Click below on ad to get more info, or view their intro video on my videos page.

And I use and have used this program for 3 months now, and I can vouch for its usefulness and viability.

save all your favorites online

DEL.ICIO.US

maybe you've seen this name many times before and have been annoyed like I have been.  now is the time to check it out!  I've found it quite useful and organised.  it helps you save many different favorite things you find on the web, especially your "bookmarks" that you never really fully see anyway, because you don't want them cluttering up your browser space.  And you can access it from any computer, share your profile with others, and post your stored favorites to your blog/website.
I will list my own del.icio.us info below:

podcasting learning curve

I will be posting some new tutorial videos on how to use your videos to set up your first video podcast, videocast, video blog, vodcast -- whatever you choose to call it.  Look for them on my video page. People are still deciding about what to call it when you post videos to your website/blog and allow people to subscribe to receive updates as your new videos become available.

Please bear with me as I also am learning right along with you.  Most of my videos are finally available in the iTunes store, either under Happy in Hong Kong or Videos from Asia. I no longer recommend using FireAnt, as they are still working many kinks out of their new download-able viewer.  You can also use other podcatchers if you find a better one than iTunes or Podnova.  still trying to work thru how to use flash embedded videos from YouTube for iTunes podcasts.  Anyone with ideas or solutions would be much appreciated.

Blogs-vertise traffic building

I've found a unique and well-run blog monetisation site that pays bloggers via paypal to mention products/brands within their blog entries.  I still need to check into it more, but from the looks of it, their idea is a well-developed one.

In order to get started with blogsvertise you must:

1 -- register your account and blog on their site

2 -- Once your account is registered you will then add your blogs for review and approval

3 -- A task is then assigned to you and you will be emailed a website url along with a brief note. Your task will be to mention the website in your blog and provide at least 3 links to the website in your blog entry. You only have to reference it -- either good or bad "talk" is ok.

4 -- After writing your blog entry, you will need to submit the blog entry back to them for review and approval via their online forms

Web 2.0 hype

this next phase of web development will be far more powerful than any other facet up to this point.
User content, user gets paid, and user informs.  Videos, articles, and creativity extreme.  As long as the content is policed and standards are maintained, I believe the sky is the limit.
See my Web 2.0 link in the right sidebar for introduction and "how to" basics.

AGLOCO.com viewbar is coming!

AllAdvantage was a site that paid you to surf the Internet. What’s more, it paid you when you refer other people to surf, and paid you again if those people referred other people - down four levels. AllAdvantage 2.0 comes with a new name, AGLOCO, which stands for A Global Community.

To join AGLOCO see right sidebar advertisement --->

AllAdvantage raised over $100 million in venture capital and it basically paid all of it to the members who ran the Viewbar. we made money for doing something we were already doing. Even though the average member made $5 to $10 per month, that is still pure profit because this doesn't cost anything.  Look at it this way. You can sit by the sideline and do nothing, and gain nothing. You can join AGLOCO, just run the Viewbar, and not promote it. Still won't cost you anything and you'll make a few bucks. You can take a chance and promote it, build a network, maybe luck out and sign up some guy like McCall who only signed up 110 people but those people went on to sign up 17,000 more. If AGLOCO fails, what have you lost in terms of time or money? If it hits it big, what have you lost by standing on the sideline?
When you run the AGLOCO Viewbar, AGLOCO will pay to you to surf the web (currently up to 5 hours/month). Once the five hours are up, you can turn the Viewbar off until next month. However, you also make money on every hour for people you referred when they surf, and income is made for every hour for people they referred down to 4 levels. There is no cap on how much you can make because of this.
Alladvantage2 The Viewbar that is installed at the bottom of the browser is back but instead of paying a flat fee per hour like the last time, it will give you a share of income the Viewbar earns. In addition, that income may be paid in stocks as well as cash. This avoids the mistake of paying out more than they make, which was what AllAdvantage did.
